October was a busy month! Here’s what we were so busy doing…
Cody’s cake smash session
Cody’s 1st birthday! He continues to be our most high maintenance baby. He loves being out and about because he is very social and loves attention! He is also the best little snuggler and would be completely happy if I could just sit and hold him all day long. Happy Birthday, Cody!!!
All set up and ready for Cody’s birthday party
These boys REALLY wanted to eat the puppy from the top of Cody’s birthday cake. They had been begging to eat it all day. All 3 of them were very happy when I finally gave in! I personally think that fondant tastes gross but they seemed to really like it.
The boys enjoyed General Conference with a little Lego temple construction and some snoozing…
I got to the mall 15 minutes before the stores opened so Dylan & Cody got to enjoy a little play time before I dragged them from one store to the next. Cody LOVED going down the slide on his tummy! He did it over and over. It’s fun that he’s getting old enough to actually enjoy this kind of thing now!
We celebrated Jack’s 4th birthday at his dinosaur themed birthday party.
I got to go on Skyler’s 1st field trip with him. I was responsible for keeping track of these cute boys- Joey, Skyler & Jaxson. We had a great day!
Had fun taking these cute boys to Lion’s park with Denise! What a beautiful, sunny day we had!
Cody LOVES to play on the slide!
We went to IHOP one night for dinner and the boys had fun making scary face pancakes
We carved pumpkins with the boys for the first time. Skyler did his by himself and he was very proud of it!
Getting to stop at my favorite burger joint in Fife for burgers and shakes is the best part of heading to Bellevue at 4:30 in the afternoon with Rich. (He had after hours work to do and wanted to be able to use the car pool lane.)
Once again, Cody fell asleep while eating dinner.
We had several rainy days at the bus stop.
Dylan helped me make Halloween Jello Jigglers
Skyler got to bring the class stuffed animal home on Halloween weekend. He was very excited and wanted to do everything with Hooley the Hippo.
The boys with their Halloween dinner. Jack O Lantern stuffed peppers with Halloween shaped Jello.
We went to the Nelson’s house on Halloween night. They always open up their garage and make yummy scones for everyone. I hung out and visited while Rich took the boys trick-or-treating around their neighborhood.
Checking out all of their candy
Cody managed to snatch one of their suckers
Happy Halloween from 2 dinosaurs and a skeleton baby
Status updates from Facebook-
October 2- Dylan and I are both of the same opinion today that left over birthday cake is perfectly acceptable to eat for breakfast.
October 15- Of course it would have to be raining sideways today, the day that I’m babysitting my 6 month old nephew and therefore have to take 2 babies to the bus stop with me. Juggling 2 babies, an umbrella and a 3 year old who is freaking out because he’s getting wet… fun times! Luckily, my sweet neighbor took pity on me and took Cody off my hands.
October 16- So, apparently Cody hates broccoli. Twice this week when we’ve had it for dinner, he’s taken all of it off his tray and thrown it on the floor.
October 22- Cody HATES wearing socks and pulls them off as soon as I put them on, so his footie pajamas are driving him crazy because he can’t pull them off his feet. It’s pretty hilarious to watch!
October 27- Cody’s wheezing and coughing sounds so pitiful. I feel so bad for him! We’re having a long day of snuggling on the couch in pj’s. Hoping he starts to feel better soon!
October 31- Suddenly, Cody is acting more like the big boys and less like a baby. This week he has FINALLY started walking more than crawling and he’s discovered how fun it is to play with cars on the floor.
October 31- The boys have been in bed for about an hour and a half and out of nowhere I hear “Aaaarrrrrr” come from their room. One of them must be having a dream about being a pirate or a dinosaur right now, lol! I love that they talk & laugh in their sleep, it cracks me up!
